Carter Qualifies for State Senate District Three
Terry Carter (R-Brunswick) filed paperwork in Atlanta today to qualify to run for State Senate District 3.
The 3rd Senate District is comprised of Glynn, Camden, Brantley, Charlton and McIntosh Counties.
Said Carter, "I am running for State Senate because we need a leader. I want to fight everyday to get things done for this district-whether it is bringing economic development and tourism dollars or better education for our children."
Carter has a long history of overcoming the odds and getting things done. Being born to an alcoholic mother and raised by his grandmother in the projects from age 7, Carter faced many hardships. Through hard work and faith, Carter worked his way through school to become a successful businessman and small business owner.
Terry is active in the community and involved in dozens of community organizations. Recently, Terry was honored by the "Save the Youth" program for his distinguished service. Terry is also a board member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, past-president of the Exchange Club, Cub Scouts, Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic School Advisory Board, Board of Trustees Member for Brewton Parker College, and a Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church of Brunswick.
Said Carter, "I care deeply about our community. I believe that through hard work and leadership, we can accomplish great things from better schools to attracting more tourism dollars. And I believe that with my skills, I can make the families of this district proud."
Terry Carter is owner of TGC Properties in Glynn County. A native Georgian, Terry Carter is a graduate of Georgia's public schools and of Shorter College where he earned a degree in Business Administration. Carter, 43, and his wife, Theresa reside in Glynn County. They are the proud parents of three children, William (10), Savina (8), and Marin (5). The Carter's are active members of First Baptist Church of Brunswick, where Terry serves as a deacon.
