 Why Terry CarterOur coastal community of Georgia is a gem and we have tremendous potential to become even better, but our district has not been receiving effective representation. We deserve better! Our families need true representation and effective leadership that will work in consort with others to solve problems, work for this district, and get the job done. We need a dynamic leader with vision... a leader to make our district better for our children and grandchildren. I pledge to you that I will be that leader that we deserve. I will not obstruct economic progress in our district and will actively promote coastal Georgia in attracting high paying jobs to our community. Jeff Chapman's Record
- failed to pass any bills to help families, lower taxes, or improve public safety
- failed to be a part of the legistative oversight committee as well as failed in offering a solution for the Jekyll Island crisis
- even his own collegues don't trust Chapman as a leader; he is the only Republican senator in his class that doesn't hold a leadership position or chairmanship
- voted against the seat belt law for trucks yet wanted to change the name "seatbelt" to "lifebelt"(we lose $20,000,000.00/yr. in federal road funds)
- wastes tax dollars by acknowledging birthdays during the legislative session
- earned a "C" rating from the NRA (this "C" rating does not support our sporting heritage and threatens our hunting and fishing traditions)
- has not offered any legislation that will offer low-cost health care that recognizes the right to choose your own doctor

Terry Carter's Plan
- cut taxes for our families
- strengthen our property rights
- promote economic development
- help provide better schools for our children
- develop a Jekyll Island revitalization plan that protects the integrity of the island while retaining beach access, protecting property investments, and attracting more tourists
- defend our coastal values
- protect the right to life
- protect our second amendment rights
- will oppose socialized healthcare for the simple reason " when you socialize the physicians, you socialize the patients"
- strongly support tort reform
- ensure excellent, timely, and accurate service to our citizens
- provide effective leadership and work with the other legislators to get the job done
- will be accountable for my actions
- will listen to my constituents and encourage open dialogue about the issues that affect our district
